Eumigrante, I Migrant in English, originally appeared in Portuguese because its target audience was Brazilians. Designed to raise awareness of the migrant problem in Brazil of Venezuelans leaving their country due to the adversity that they experienced there, the website educated Brazilians on the challenges these migrants faced. It listed information on migration and resources. With our interest in immigration, and raising awareness of how it affects countries besides the United States, our primary focus, we thought this well worth translating and bringing to a US audience. Besides raising awareness in the US of what is happening in South America, we think it helps the project in Brazil to have this audience in the United States.
We may add additional resources in the future. But, for now we will focus on the getting the website back up and working, along with getting a good translation. You can provide feedback.
